We stayed in this lovely little town at the beginning of September and witnessed the craziness that was the festival of Madonna. Amazing fireworks and crazy procession of Madonna around the town. There are some pizza restaurants here and great granita cafes, try the pistachio and almond granita it is heavenly . The beach is not the greatest as it is rocky and a lttle grubby but we hired a scooter from Catania from 'ilmotonoleggio' and scooted around the North East and South East side of the island. There are some great beaches just North of Riposta that really are not too far to scooter too and in the South near Avola the nature reserve was great for snorkeling. Make sure that you go to Isle Bella by Taormina as it really is beautiful.
The apartment itself was just perfect for our needs as a couple. We cooked amazing food many of the nights, ( the ingredients in the supermarkets and market stalls are to die for - you are in Sicily!) there is nothing better than buying seps at a roadside stall and making the most amazing risotto. After all of the food you will be happy to get done exercise climbing the hill to the apartment. It is quite a big Hill but on a scooter or in a car is fine and if is refreshing to walk up it occasionally.
The hostess if the apartment is great and very accommodating. We needed a few things sorting when we arrived and she and her cousin were very helpful. Also if you bump into the neighbours of the apartment they are great too and always try to help where they can.
We will definitely be going back to Sicily again, it is a perfect island with amazing food and people.

Carino e accogliente
Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Siamo una famiglia con due figli grandi. Un po' stretti, ma la casa e ben fornita e la terrazza e molto godibile. La mancanza dell aria condizionata non si è sentita.

Sí, disfrutamos en el apartamento 10 días del verano del 2012. El apartamento es acogedor, con una terraza muy agradable. En esos días pudimos conocer Aci Trezza y los alrededores, zona que merece la pena conocer. También nos dio la oportunidad de conocer Sicila, isla que tiene tanto que ver que nunca se termina de conocer.
